Essen -- Degussa's business line Goldschmidt Industrial
Specialties has introduced a new dispersing additive for the production
of pigment masterbatches. TEGOMER® P 141 is the newcomer to their
range of dispersing additives for color concentrates. This dispersant
is the natural progression for the successful and expanding TEGOMER®
series of additives designed for the plastic industry.
The new dispersant was developed to meet the stringent
demands of coloring polypropylene micro fibres and technical polymers.
The result is superior performance parameters such as high color yield
and an effective reduction of agglomerate formation. The dilution properties
in the final processing stage are also excellent leading to the avoidance
of stripe formation.
It provides advantages during the production process
of pigment concentrates at both high and low loading, and excellent feed
characteristics can be expected together with high throughput rates. The
incorporation of TEGOMER® P 141 leads to remarkable and realisable
cost benefits in the production of pigment concentrates.
The complete range of TEGOMER® dispersants is well
known for its high efficiency. The additives are an established means
of achieving high pigment loadings combined with superior processing performance.
