LG Chem participates in ChinaPlas 2023, held in Shenzhen, China for four days. Under the theme of ‘The New LG Chem’, the company plans to present eco-friendly materials, such as decomposing and recyclable plastics, as well as futuristic materials in solar panel, medical, and battery sectors to attract customers for their sustainable future.
Displaying Strategic Products for Sustainable Future
LG Chem displays 50 or so strategic products in 398m
2(121py) booth, the largest among Korean participants. In particular, the company would operate 7 dedicated conference rooms and a business lounge to communicate with customers.
In ‘Sustainability Solution & LETZero Zone’, products including PBAT (Poly Butylene Adipate-co-Terephthalate), which has garnered attention as an eco-friendly technology of the future for its decomposition within six months of landfill, PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) made of bio-materials, and PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) plastics will be displayed.
In ‘Future Solution Zone’, POE(Polyolefin Elastomer) used for solar panel films, a future high-value added strategic product, CNT(carbon nanotube), the world’s best battery material made with the company’s own technology, and NBL (Nitrile Butadiene Latex) used to make medical gloves will be displayed. By doing so, the company accelerates its effort to target a broader global market.

Additionally, a separate space is designated for customers to gain hands-on experience with ‘LG Chem On’, the first-ever digitally integrated purchase platform of the petrochemical industry. By viewing from the customer’s perspective, the platform expects to contribute to a global customer communication as it allows the customers to check real-time status from order placement to delivery, just like any existing online shopping malls.
