Light Stabilizers / UV Absorbers > Nickel Organics

Nickel organic complexes protect the polymer against UV degradation by a process called excited light quenching. Being pesticide resistant these are used to protect agricultural films against UV degradation. Among others, nickel organic UV absorbers also find use in polyolefin fiber applications. Some typically used nickel organics are nickel dibutyl dithio carbamate and 2-2'- thiobis (4-octyl phenolato)-n- butylamine nickel.
