Release Agents

Release agents are added to plastics to prevent the molded object from sticking to the mold surface. Release agents that can be directly cooled into mold cavities are known as external release agents and those which can be introduced into the polymer, are referred to as internal release agents. Some examples of release agents are silicones, waxes, fatty acid esters etc.
