ADD-VANCE® FR 243 (formerly ADD-FR 243)

PP based non-halogenated flame-retardant masterbatch. It offers good UV protection and spinning of fine deniers. ADD-VANCE® FR 243 does not contain any heavy metal or antimony- trioxide (Sb2O3) and does not produce dioxins during combustion. Has no limitations with regard to colorability and can be combined with traditional halogenated flame retardants for synergistic effects. It is effective at low dosing levels and does not interfere with recycling. Used for foils, films, and extruded articles made from PP with a high surface/volume ratio. Can also be used for tapes, ropes, and filaments / fibers for carpets, non-wovens, furniture, automotive interiors. The recommended dosage rate is between 2 and 5% depending on the substrate, processing conditions and application.
