ADD-VANCE® FR 495 (formerly: ADD-FR 495)

PP copolymer based flame-retardant masterbatch. It is halogen-free and contains an additional stabilization package to meet particular requirements for long service life. It is active in the solid phase of a polymeric system, forming a stable char that inhibits flame propagation. Imparts an excellent long term heat aging performance to achieve VW and D-C requirements. ADD-VANCE® FR 495 is environment-friendly and provides good mechanical properties after heat-aging @ 140°C (D-C test method). The typical processing temperatures are in the range of 200 – 230°C. It is non-corrosive and exhibits low toxic smoke emissions, excellent impact/stiffness balance, very good melt flow properties as well as optimal recycling properties. Used for thick, injection molded PP products. Can also be used for under body panels, door modules, industrial parts, appliances etc.
