Afcona -5244

Afcona -5244 by Afcona Additives is an anionic/cationic wetting and dispersing agent. It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle. It stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces. It is highly suitable for solvent-free or high solid systems like epoxies and polyurethane primers, UPE applications like gel coat, buttons, SMC, BMC and PVC systems. Recommended dosage level of Afcona -5244 is 0.1-1.0% based on inorganic pigment, 1.0-2.5% based on organic pigments and 15-25% for bentonite gels. The shelf life is 5 years.
