Akroform® MBT-75/EPR/P

Akroform® MBT-75/EPR/P by Akrochem is a polymeric dispersion of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole. It is an extremely active primary accelerator used for curing slower polymers (like EPDM or butyl). It acts as a retarder in the free sulfur curing of chloroprene rubber. The process of vulcanization required zinc oxide and fatty acid. It is suitable in natural- and synthetic polymer systems. It is a masterbatch containing EPR as a binder. It is easy to handle polymer-bound dispersion providing better uniformity of mix at low temperature, upgrade plant safety and quality. In combination with a secondary accelerator like guanidines, di-thiocarbamates, thiurams and alkali materials to fasten the curing and higher tensile strength. Recommended dosage level of Akroform® MBT-75/EPR/P in the primary accelerator is 1-2 phr and the secondary accelerator is 0.2-0.5 phr.
