Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, solution in 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutanoate. Acts as multipurpose catalyst. Being thermally unstable substance, it may undergo self-accelerating decomposition. Possesses a low hydrogen peroxide content, which reduces gel coat porosity and provides improved curing of vinyl ester resins. Exhibits also a high MEKP monomer content which provides reduced cure times in some resin system.
