Methyl ethyl ketone peroxide, solution in diisobutyl phthalate. Used as a curing agent. Being thermally unstable substance, it may undergo self-accelerating decomposition. Possesses a very low hydrogen peroxide concentration to eliminate gassing. Offers a higher dimmer and low monomer content to reduce gel coat porosity and provides improved curing rates and reduced residuals compared to conventional MEKP's. Exhibits optimized for VE and hybrid resin formulations to provide the best cure possible with a ketone peroxide based material.
