Flame retardant additive. It is a superb flame retardant and smoke suppressant for the WPC industry. It works as a condensed phase FR as well as a gas phase FR. It also acts endothermically to cool the flame and prevents afterglow. Its particle size is similar to the sawdust particles size and white in color so as to blend well with colored material. It is compatible with plasticizers and stabilizers and does not release toxic fumes during burning. It is also used in XLPE formulations to prevent dripping of materials under flaming conditions. It forms an excellent char which is fluffy and non dripping.
