Clearstrength® E-952

Clearstrength® E-952 by Arkema is a new methylmethacrylate-butadiene-styrene (MBS) core-shell impact modifier designed to impart excellent ambient and cold temperature toughness to engineering polymers. It exhibits improved thermal stability, good dispersion and mechanical properties retention. It maintains good ductile impact properties at temperatures below -40°C. It is produced using a proprietary technology which affords some improved impact performance under severe processing conditions. It is used in formulating polycarbonate, polyesters and a variety of polycarbonate blends, particularly PC/ PBT. It is recommended for automotive applications such as bumpers, front radiator grills & battery housing for electrical vehicles. Clearstrength® E-952 is also designed for electrical and electronic applications including home appliances, TV, monitor and mobile phone housing where excellent impact strength and colorability are required. Its loading concentration is generally from 3 to 15%.
