Luperox® 231 XL40-SP by Arkema is 1,1’-di(tert-butylperoxy)-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane. It acts as a curing booster. It provides very good scorch protection. It offers faster free radical trapping process leading to a better scorch protection, and the steady crosslink level. It is used to manufacture hoses and profiles; rubber seals and gaskets; wires and cables; golf balls; EPDM and EVA based shoe soles.
