Luperox® 533M65 by Arkema is ethyl 3,3-Di-(t-amylperoxy) butyrate. It acts as a polymerization initiator. It exhibits low molecular weight, a narrow molecular weight distribution & low viscosity, and offers reduced residual monomer content. It is compatible with acrylics, styrene & copolymers, and grafted polyols. It is suitable for the formation of polymeric polyols for the production of polyurethane foams. Luperox® 533M65 works in the temperature range of 110°C to 135°C for the polymerization of styrene & copolymers, and about 145°C for acrylics. According to the temperature profile of the copolymerization it is preferably used in combination with peresters (e.g. Luperox® 575) or monoperoxycarbonates (e.g. Luperox® TAEC).
