Aluminum stearate. Acts as a lubricant. It is produced from a high quality, tallow derived fatty acid for grease, lacquer and polymer applications requiring a finely divided powder with good handling and feeding characteristics. Insoluble in water, lower alcohols, esters and ketones. Soluble in benzene, toluene, xylene, glycol, chlorinated hydrocarbons, mineral and vegetable oils. Used in the production of polyamides and thermosets.
