Polyethylene wax. Acts as a lubricant. It is a non-polar hydrocarbon that provides external lubrication which in turn is influenced by the length of hydrocarbon chain, branching and functional groups present. Reduces wall adhesion between PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and metal surfaces. Increases fusion time, decreases torque, improves surface gloss and reduces melt viscosity. Suitable for sidings, gutters, rigid extrusion, rigid injection molding and hollow article applications. Transparency and high dosages cause over-lubrication leading to haziness and exudation.
