It acts as a lubricant and processing aid. Due to its exceptional lubricity, the torque and the melt pressure in the extruder can be reduced significantly at typically lower lubricant concentrations than traditional lubricants. Offers higher throughput and improved surface properties of the extruded part. Can be used in formulations containing polyolefin, especially polyethylene and polypropylene, as the polymeric component. Applications include wood plastic composites, extrusion processes, injection molding of wood and other highly filled plastic composites.
