Flamestab® NOR® 116

Flamestab® NOR® 116 by BASF is a halogen-free flame retardant and UV stabilizer for polyolefin fiber, non-wovens, tapes and films. It provides superior light and long-term thermal stability.

It offers very good polymer compatibility, high extraction- and aging resistance.
It is a low basicity, monomeric N-alkoxy hindered amine (NOR HAS).
It is a melting processable grade and does not reduce the ductility and mechanical properties of the polymer.
It is active at concentrations as low as 1% and does not interact with HALS.
It is used in PO fibers & non-woven at 0.5-1.5% and films/tapes at 0.5-1.5% concentration.
It exhibits good sustainability performance, low smoke density and toxicity.
It is a solution for demanding applications and maintains transparency while providing outstanding resistance to flames.
Flamestab® NOR® 116 shows low interaction with acidic species deriving from pesticide residues and halogenated products.
