Irganox® B 215

Irganox® B 215 by BASF is a synergistic blend of Irgafos® 168 and Irganox® 1010, a processing and long-term thermal stabilizer system. It maintains original melt flow and offers low color formation and long-term-thermal stability. Irgafos® 168, an organic phosphite of low volatility and particularly resistant to hydrolysis, protects the polymers which are prone to oxidation. Irganox® 1010, a hindered phenolic antioxidant, contributes synergistically to polymer stabilization during processing and provides long-term thermal stability by preventing thermo-oxidative degradation. Irganox® B 215 is suitable for polyolefin & olefin-copolymers, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyurethane, polybutene and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers applications. It is also used in styrene homo- & copolymers, engineering plastics and elastomers. Recommended dosage level for polyolefin is 0.1-0.25%.
