Tinuvin® 312

Tinuvin® 312 by BASF acts as a UV absorber belonging to the oxanilide class. Recommended for rigid and flexible PVC and polyesters.

Exhibits excellent chemical resistance, no reactivity with alkalis and additional thermal stability to polyamides.
Imparts outstanding light stability to plastics and other organic substrates.
Features strong UV absorption, excellent compatibility in a wide variety of substrates and low volatility.
Protects polymers and organic pigments from UV radiation, preserves the original appearance and physical integrity of molded articles, films, sheets and fibers during outdoor weathering.
Shows low wavelength absorbance, no impact on color and transparency of the substrate.
Suitable for polyesters, PVC plastisol, polyurethanes, polyamides, polymethylmethacrylate, polybutylene terephthalate, polycarbonates and cellulose esters.
It can be combined with optical brighteners.
The usage level of Tinuvin® 312 ranges between 0.10 and 1.0 % depending on the substrate and performance requirements of the final application.
