BYK® -A 515

BYK®-A 515 by BYK is a silicone-free, polymer-based, air release agent for solvent-borne and solvent-free epoxy, UP/VE and PUR systems. It improves the fiber wetting in the manufacture and application (pultrusion) of plastic systems. It is particularly used in vinyl ester resins, highly thixotropic gel coats and acrylate resins (syrups). This highly surface-active additive is used in hand lay-up and fiber spray-up procedures. It is often used in combination with BYK®-A 555 or BYK®-A 501. BYK®-A 515 is recommended for all-purpose for ambient-curing plastic systems. The recommended level is 0.1-0.5% additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation. The recommended level for pultrusion is 0.5 phr additive as supplied. The shelf life of this product is 36 months.
