BYK® -C 8002

BYK®-C 8002 by BYK is a reactive polymeric coupling agent to improve mechanical properties such as flexural strength, compressive strength and the E modulus by up to 30%. The additive also improves the anti-settling properties of the formulation. It is recommended for acrylate resins (PMMA in MMA), which are filled with amphoteric or basic fillers such as ATH (aluminium trihydroxide). It shows no negative impact on hot water and weather resistance. The recommended level is 0.1-0.5% additive (as supplied) based upon the filler. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It complies with EU Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU-Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging waste), CONEG Toxics in Packaging, EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2) and REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The shelf life of BYK®-C 8002 is 24 months.
