Vazo™ 64 by Chemours is a free radical source (FRS) typically used as a polymerization initiator. It is a substituted azonitrile compound that thermally decomposes to generate free radicals and nitrogen gas.

It is a cost-effective grade and exhibits low molecular weight, with a higher mole per pound than other initiators.
It is designed to initiate bulk, solution and emulsion polymerization.
The rate of decomposition is first-order and is unaffected by contaminants such as metal ions.
It finds applications in other thermoplastic.
Vazo™ 64 has a 10hr half-life in solution at 64°C.
