VERSENE™ 100

VERSENE™ 100 by Dow is a chelating agent. It is an aqueous solution of the tetrasodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. It chelates most multivalent metal ions (e.g., Fe, Cu, Mn, Ca, Mg, Zn) in a 1:1 molar ratio.

Also, chelates most transition metals below pH 12.
It is stable under varying conditions of temperature, acidity, alkalinity, and the presence of other chemicals.
It is attached, however, by strong oxidizing agents such as hypochlorite bleach.
VERSENE™ 100 is scale dissolver for cooling tower cleaning.
