XIAMETER™ OFS-6106 Silane

Coupling agent and adhesion promoter. It is soluble in solvents such as methanol, isopropanol, methoxypropanol and xylene. It can also be dissolved in an aqueous alcohol mixture. Used to improve adhesion of plastics. XIAMETER™ OFS-6106 Silane improves adhesion of polymers such as ethylene vinylacetate and PBT to other polymer surfaces, such as polyimides, acrylics, rubber, wood and fluoropolymers. It provides coupling of inorganic materials, such as glass and metals, to many organic polymers and engineering plastics such as epoxies, urethanes, acrylics, polysulfones, polyphenylene sulfides, melamines, olyimides, polycarbonates and thermoplastic polyesters. It also inproves mixing and compatibility of filled systems.
