Plastolyn™ R1140 Hydrocarbon Resin

Plastolyn™ R1140 Hydrocarbon Resin by Synthomer is an impact modifier, derived from aromatic petrochemical feedstocks. It is an amorphous, low-molecular-weight hydrocarbon resin that imparts excellent color stability and low color. It is fully hydrogenated to a saturated cyclo-aliphatic structure. It offers good resistance to thermal and oxidative degradation, glass transition temperature and reduced polymer's elastic memory effect to such an extent that dead folds and twist wrap properties may be obtained. It shows enhanced barrier, gloss and haze properties of film & sheets, adhesion to fibrous substrates at lower extrusion temperatures and reduced melt viscosity. It provides good modulus and stiffness at room temperature. It is compatible with polyethylene, polypropylene, EVA, APAO, SIS block copolymers, mPE, PIB and TPE. Plastolyn™ R1140 Hydrocarbon Resin is used in rubber modification and automotive applications.
