Zerogen® 50 SG

Zerogen® 50 SG by Huber Engineered Materials is a magnesium hydroxide (=99 % (untreated base)) grade. Acts as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant. Present as odorless white powder. It is an alkylsilane-treated product that provides hydrophobicity and superior fire performance when used to make fire-rated polymeric compounds. The surface treatment promotes uniform dispersion of the magnesium hydroxide in the polymer used, providing desirable compounding rheology and enhanced compound performance. They can decompose in an endothermic reaction to form water and magnesium oxide. Compatible with thermoplastic or crosslinked polymer compounds. Suitable for use in compound applications where excellent electrical properties are needed, such as in cable insulation materials. Zerogen® 50 SG by Huber Engineered Materials listed on REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), AICS (Australian Inventory of Chemical Substances), DSL (Domestic Substances List), IECSC (Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances Produced or Imported in China), ENCS (Japan), KECI (Korea Existing Chemicals Inventory), New Zealand Inventory, PICCS (Philippine Inventory of Chemicals and Chemical Substances), Taiwan Inventory and TSCA (The Toxic Substances Control Act.
