PoleStar™ 450 by Imerys is dehydroxylated aluminium silicate-based filler. It is produced by a controlled, high temperature heating of water-fractionated kaolin. It ensures the optimization of electrical performance. It greatly improves the volume resistivity of polyvinyl chloride insulation compounds under both wet and dry conditions to improve electrical properties where operating temperatures may rise to 110°C. PoleStar™ 450 is suitable for polyester & polyolefin film. It offers IR absorption. It is designed for use in pPVC cables, pPVC flooring, thermoplastics & thermosets.
