Rhenogran® AFP-40/EPDM (GE 1909)

Rhenogran® AFP-40/EPDM (GE 1909) by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a pre-dispersed aramid chopped fiber pulp for reinforcing natural-, synthetic- and thermoplastic rubber compounds. It is 40% aramid fiber pulp pre-dispersed in 60% EPDM polymeric binder with dispersing agents. It also acts as a reinforcing agent. It improves elasticity modulus, modulus at low strain, compression resistance, flexural strength, hardness, abrasion, tear and penetration resistance, shrinkage as well as creep resistance, and the dimensional stability. It enhances the green strength of the uncured compound depending on the dosage. It shows compatibility with NR, EPDM and HNBR. It is suitable for molded and extruded articles, e.g. turbo charger hoses, V-belts, timing belts, seals, conveyor belting, rollers, roofing and membranes. Recommended dosage level of Rhenogran® AFP-40/EPDM (GE 1909) is 2-20 phr. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
