Dimeric 2-hydroxy benzotriazole. Acts as a UV light stabilizer. Exhibits strong absorption of UV radiation in the 300 – 400 nm region. It has high degree of photo stability and excellent thermal properties. Prevents plate-out on molds and die-lip build-up. Offers low initial color and low volatility during high processing temperatures as well as good extraction resistance. It can be used in combination with phenolic and phosphite antioxidants and HALS to optimize performance. Compatible with acrylics, alkene polymers, polycarbonates, and polyamides. Recommended for outdoor use. The dosage rate lies within 0.15-0.60% depending upon the substrate and performance requirements.
