Iriotec® 8208

Iriotec® 8208 by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt Germany is a granulated laser pigment which enables a polymer dark and fast marking in polymers like PE, PP, TPU and others more. It is mainly used in making animal ear tags.

• It is best in class when it comes to marking speed, contrast, and a wide process window.
• Antimony trioxide (65-75%) is encapsulated in microspheres and embedded in an impermeable polymer matrix (polyethylene carrier; 25-35%).
• It offers razor-sharp and dark marking.
• Iriotec® 8208 can be pre-compounded used as a dry blend, or given using gravimetric or volumetric dosage.
• The advised dosage is 1-3% with a processing temperature above 160°C.
