Silquest™ PA 826

Silquest™ PA-826 by Momentive is a organosilicone. It is used for halogen-free, flame retardant (HFFR) polyolefinic and elastomeric compounds. Acts as a processing aid. Facilitates the calendering process and reduces compound viscosity. Exhibits low or even absence of drip when burning. Reduces plate-out and deposits in the compounding equipment or on the die of the extruder. It can be used successfully with highly filled hydrated minerals, such as aluminum trihydrate or magnesium dihydroxide. Silquest™ PA 826 is used in combination with Silquest FR-693 Silane to formulate HFFR compounds containing up to 70% by weight of hydrated mineral fillers.
