UV-571 (MPI Chemie)

UV-571 by MPI Chemie is hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole-based UV light absorber. It imparts good light stability to a variety of polymers. It dissipates the absorbed light energy from UV rays as heat by reversible intramolecular proton transfer. This reduces the absorption of UV rays by the polymer matrix and hence reduces the rate of weathering. UV-571 is applied in thermoplastic PUR, rigid & plasticized PVC, PVB, PMMA, PVDC, EVOH, EVA, hot cured unsaturated polyesters and spin finishes for PA, PET, PUR & PP fibers. Also, used in styrene homo- & copolymers, elastomers and polyolefins. Recommended for electronic and wire & cable applications.
