GEL ALL E-200

1,3:2,4-bis-O-(4-methylbenzylidene)-D-sorbitol. It is a crystal nucleating agent for polyolefin resins. GEL ALL E-200 has a slightly lower melting point than that of GEL ALL MD-LM30G. With this characteristic, both polymer and crystal nucleating agent are fused and dispersed uniformly at a relatively low temperature, thereby exerting good transparency, consequently it enables kneading and forming at a low temperature. When a sorbitol transparent nucleating agent is used as crystal nucleating agent, a very small amount of free aldehyde may give a smell or taste change to the molded product. By using GEL ALL E-200, the amount of free aldehyde is substantially suppressed compared to conventional products, thereby producing products with good sensory characteristics in terms of smell and taste.
