Cel-Span® 789

Flame retardant concentrate specifically designed and tailored for polyester fibers. Thermoplastic polyester fibers produced from it and converted into needle punch fabric meet both NPFA 702 vertical burn testing and at lower levels horizontal burn testing. Designed to be compounded directly with SSP polyester fiber chip to produce fine denier fibers. Primary applications are the clothing, military, carpet, automotive and building applications where flammability requirements are required especially the upholstery markets. Does not adversely influence ultraviolet stability. Imparts yellowing to the fibers or change the shade of colorants used to pigment the fiber. Does not cause smoking at the die and does not adversely affect down stream operations of post drawing, crimping and long term storage of the fabric.
