Rhenogran® MPTD-70

Rhenogran® MPTD-70 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is an ultra-accelerator and sulfur donor for the vulcanization of natural- and synthetic rubbers. It causes very rapid and scorch-safe vulcanization. It is used as a primary accelerator in combination with sulfur, as secondary accelerator in conjunction with thiazoles and as curing agent if no sulfur is added. It provides heat resistance vulcanizates with good aging properties. It contains ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) as a binder. If mercapto or sulfenamide accelerators are added, the vulcanization undergoes retardation. It has little effect on the degree of cross-linking, they mainly reduce the scorch and increase the total curing time. It receives additional activation from basic accelerators, e.g. aldehyde-amine and guanidine. It is designed for heat resistance technical articles, cable coverings and insulation. Rhenogran® MPTD-70 has a shelf life of 2 years.
