Rhenogran® PbO-80

Rhenogran® PbO-80 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a curing activator and stabilizer for chlorosulfonated polyethylene and chloroprene rubber. It also suitable as filler in compounds for x-ray proofing. It enhances the critical temperature when using dithiocarbamate and thiuram accelerators. It is used in black or dark-colored compounds, since black lead sulfide is formed during the reaction. In combination with Rhenogran® Pb3O4-80, it serves as an activator in the vulcanization of butyl rubber with quinone dioximes. It contains ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM) as a binder. It is designed for cable compounds, extrusion compounds for the open steam vulcanization, water resistant articles, articles with good electric insulating properties, heat resistant CSM products, NR and synthetic rubbers for X-ray gloves and aprons. Recommended dosage level is 3-20 phr. Rhenogran® PbO-80 has a shelf life of 2 years.
