STRUKTOL® Calcium Stearate

STRUKTOL® Calcium Stearate by Struktol is an effective elastomer processing aid and release agent. It is high purity, non-wettable, calcium stearate powder manufactured with high quality stearic acid. It allows for complete product dispersion in elastomers due to low chloride content. STRUKTOL® Calcium Stearate reduces extruder pressure build-up of rigid PVC compounds when used as a processing aid during the manufacture of pipe, siding and injection molded fittings. It reduces extruder pressure build-up and minimizes fiber breakage during extrusion and spinning. This product gives extreme heat resistance to prevent discoloration and haze formation. It meets the quality and processing demands of polyolefin, polystyrene and polyester manufacture. It is used in wire drawing operations, rubber & plastic industries and as an anti-caking additive in dry blending operations. For injection molding (opaque) the dosage level is 0.7-1.0 phr, 0.3 -0.75 phr in calendering(opaque) and 0.7 -1.0 phr in extrusion (opaque) applications. It is sanctioned by FDA.
