SUMILIZER® GA-80 by Sumitomo Chemical is 3,9-Bis[2-[3-(3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl)-propionyloxy]-1,1-dimethylethyl]-2,4,8,10-tetraoxaspiro-[5.5] undecane. Acts as a primary antioxidant. Exhibits low volatility and meets FDA and EU requirements for food contact. SUMILIZER® GA-80 is compatible with PP, HDPE, PU and PA. Provides excellent synergistic long-term heat stabilization with thioether type antioxidants. In addition, it shows excellent resistance to NOx gas discoloration and it has low volatility at elevated temperatures compared to other commercial phenolic antioxidants. Recommended dosage in PP, HDPE and PA is 200-2000 ppm and 0.5-1.5% in PU.
