Trimellitate. It acts as an excellent phthalate-free, liquid plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride resins. It exhibits superior low temperature flexibility and resistance to oxidative degradation at high temperatures. It is easy to process and it offers a high degree of permanence as well as good compatibility. It is recommended for applications such as wire and cable insulation, refrigerator gaskets where lacquer mar resistance is a factor, and in the manufacture of low fog automotive components and interiors.
