Antimony trioxide. It acts as a flame retardant. It appears as a white, odorless crystalline powder and is used in rubber, textiles, electronics and polyethylene terephthalate polymerization catalyst. It is often used in combination with halogenated compounds and acts as a synergist to enhance the activity of the halogenated flame retardant.
