Norox® 600

Di (4-t-butylcyclohexyl) peroxydicarbonate. It acts as an initiator (radical source) in the polymerization of monomers like vinyl chloride in mass or suspension (temperature range is 45°C to 60°C, usage level: 0.02 to 0.1% as supplied) and methacrylates (temperature range: 40°C to 70°C, usage level: 0.02 to 0.15% as supplied). Also acts as a curing agent in unsaturated polyester resins, particularly in pultrusion applications where it is typically used in conjunction with other peroxides at a level of 0.5 to 1.0%. It is recommended to use it in combination with thermally more stable peroxides such as dilauroyl peroxide and low residual monomer contents can be achieved. At proper ratios the combination can produce an even rate of polymerization throughout the reaction period.
