Uniplex 171

Uniplex 171 is a o,p-toluene sulfonamide. Acts as a plasticizer. It is a mixture of ortho toluene sulfonamide (OTSA) and para toluene sulfonamide (PTSA). It imparts good gloss. Increases hardness of moldings made with urea resins, stability and compatibility of melamine resins. For phenolic resins, it reduces viscosity. In nylon and other polyamide resins, it increases flexibility with only minor decreases in tensile strength. It is compatible with thermosetting and thermoplastic resins, melamine, urea and phenolic resins.
