DODECANEDIOIC ACID by Corvay Specialty Chemicals is a long chain dicarboxylic acid used in the production of polyamide 6,12. It undergoes polymerization with hexamethylenediamine to form PA 6.12. It provides improved strength, durability, chemical resistance, and thermal stability in polyester applications.

It offers relatively high melting point, low volatility, low moisture absorption and excellent dimensional stability.
It is non-toxic and biodegradable, which makes it an environmentally friendly option in many applications.
It can be mainly derived from petrochemical feedstocks and is typically produced by the microbial fermentation of alkanes.
It is REACH registered.
