POLYBATCH® PF 61 VN

POLYBATCH® PF 61 VN by LyondellBasell is a masterbatch containing 70% of a mineral filler and a medium concentration of white pearlescent pigment. It has low density and provides improved dead fold and opacity properties. It is very hygroscopic. It generates less shiny spots defects on high output machine. The pearlized can be made as plain or as coextruded film. The skin layers can be homopolymer for enhancing gloss or copolymer as seal layer. It has better heat transfer due to the presence of mineral, all extrusion temperatures should be lowered by 10 to 15 degrees. During the bi-orientation process, vacuoles are formed in the film, reducing its density from 0.906 to 0.720. POLYBATCH® PF 61 VN is compatible with PP homopolymer. It is used for the production of very heavy gauge film and white pearlized BOPP films on stenter lines. Its recommended dosage rate is 14% for homopolymer PP.
