Daikin fluoro based polymers processing aids are additives used to increase productivity and quality of PE materials during extrusion. These additives have the advantage to not compromise on PE performance as only few hundred ppm are needed.

Enhance PE Resins quality with Fluoropolymers-based PPA

DAIKIN PPA DA-910 has not only been developed for film production, and can also show good results in enhancing the quality of polyolefin resins through their action during the finishing part of the manufacturing process:

Quality of polyolefin resins

DAIKIN PPA DA-910 can also be used to increase the processing of mLLDPE or rich LLDPE blends!

Reduced Sharkskin on pellets

The addition of PPA in the extrusion phase of the PE resin production avoids the melt fracture if shear rate is below 800s-1.

By reducing melt fracture during PE finishing, the pellets of polyethylene produced does not have any default such as sharkskin defects hence reducing transportation or storage issues.

Reduced gel formation

Using Daikin's PPAs allows you to avoid stagnation on the metal surface as illustrated Figure 1.

Due to fine dispersion of DAIKIN PPA DA-910 illustrated in Figure 2, there is no risk of gel creation in the polyolefin resin, hence allowing the production of higher film quality.
