Daikin fluoro based polymers processing aids are additives used to increase productivity and quality of PE materials during extrusion. These additives have the advantage to not compromise on PE performance as only few hundred ppm are needed.

Optimize the balance between processing ability and performance with PPA

The development of high performance PE grades is always a compromise with extrusion ability.

With PPA formulation, new PE grades are designed with the minimum molecular weight to reach the optimum ratio of mechanical properties/ processing behavior, as illustrated on figure 1.

Figure 1: High molecular weight chain provides higher mechanical performances: stress cracking, impact, tear resistance, but reduces processing ability/ Low Mw chain:
improved processing ability but reduced mechanical performances. The addition of PPA eliminates issues at high molecular weight (deteriorated extrusion, etc...)
