Enhance PE resins (pellets) quality
The high-performing PPA grades have been developed for film production and also show good results in enhancing the quality of polyolefin resins through their action during the finishing part of the manufacturing process:
Reduced Sharkskin on pellets
The addition of PPA in the extrusion phase of the PE resin production avoids the melt fracture if shear rate is below 800s
-1.
By reducing melt fracture during PE finishing, the pellets of polyethylene produced does not have any default such as sharkskin defects hence
reducing transportation or storage issues.
Reduced gel formation
With the fine dispersion of novel PPAs, there is no risk of gel creation in the polyolefin resin. Hence, there is a better
production of higher film quality.
