Ampacet Introduces Antiblock Additive with Permanent Low Slip Performance

Ampacet has introduced Seablock 4S, an additive for biaxially-oriented polypropylene film (BOPP) that offers excellent anti-block properties without scuffing as well as consistent low slip performance throughout the converting process.

Consistent Slip Performance and Maximum Efficiency

Flexible packaging with BOPP film often requires immediate, consistent slip performance to enable maximum efficiency of converting and packaging operations.

When converting BOPP film at high speed, organic anti-block particles may be extracted from the film. Typically known as scuffing, this can lead to accumulation of dust on variations of slip properties during the converting process.

Permanent and Predictable Slip Performance

Ampacet Seablock 4S allows BOPP film producers to manufacture high quality BOPP films with permanent and predictable slip performance for smooth and consistent film conversion. Thanks to superior particle anchorage. Seablock 4S reduces scuffing, resulting in a low level of dust accumulation during high speed film conversion.

Seablock 4S also shows good heat stability with unmatched low die and extruder fouling, unlike other competitive solutions. Because there are no migrating slip additives, it is also suitable for use in metallized film and provides excellent optical properties with no blooming.
