croda anti static additives CRODA will participate in CHINAPLAS 2019 – The 33rd International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries, which will be held on May 21 – 24, 2019 at China Import & Export Fair Complex, Pazhou, Guangzhou, PR China.

Reduce or Eliminate Static Related Issues

Croda launches new permanent static dissipative polymers and amine free anti-static additives for high-end applications such as automotive and electronics. Anti-static additives reduce or eliminate static related issues such as dust attraction affecting the appearance and performance of plastic products, and the risk of electrostatic discharge that can damage electronic components or even cause fires or explosions.

Croda’s New Ionphase™

  • Croda’s new Ionphase™ inherently dissipative polymers offer an immediate and permanent effect that is not dependent on humidity.
  • They provide a uniform and homogenous distribution in the host polymer and offer excellent processability and surface quality.
  • additives are suitable for compounding, extrusion or injection molding, and allow for compliance with key industry standards for EPA and EX areas.
  • There are multiple grades available to suit different polymer types including polyolefins, styrenics and PC blends.

Atmer™ 511

  • New Atmer™ 511 long-term amine free additive is suitable for use in applications where amine free chemistry is preferred, amine containing additives are restricted or where compliance with certain industry standards is necessary.
  • This additive can be used in polypropylene for both film and injection molding applications and has shown performance benefits beyond one year.
  • It has even shown good results in low humidity environments. These new products complement the established range of Atmer migrating short and medium-term additives and externally coated additives to enable static protection across a wide range of host polymers.
  • This range can also be offered as concentrates for easier dosing. Anti-static additives work by lowering the resistivity of the polymer, which is the measure of how strongly a material opposes the flow of current.
  • Once the correct resistivity level has been selected for a specific application and level of static control needed, the correct anti-static additive may be chosen.
